The Assistant Principal of SLAM Palm Beach plays a critical role in supporting the academic and operational success of the school. Reporting directly to the Principal, the Assistant Principal is responsible for promoting a positive school culture, maintaining high academic standards, and ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day operations. This leadership position requires a dynamic, organized, and compassionate individual with a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.

Leadership and School Culture

  • Collaborate with the Principal to implement the school’s mission, vision, and strategic goals
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture for students, staff, and families
  • Serve as a role model for professional behavior, ethics, and continuous learning
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members

Academic Excellence

  • Support teachers in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional delivery to ensure high-quality teaching and learning

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:

  • Master’s Degree or higher or be in progress of earning degree
  • Current Florida Educational Leadership Certificate or be in the process of earning a certificate
  • At least one (1) year of successful experience on a school leadership team as evidenced by the most recent performance evaluation
  • Strong knowledge of secondary education best practices, including curriculum, assessment, and student development
  • Commitment to upholding SLAM Palm Beach's mission and vision

PREFERRED:

  • At least (5) five years of successful experience as a teacher as evidenced by performance evaluations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and diverse environment
