As a Senior Cell Biology R&D Scientist, you will play a key role in advancing preclinical research by shaping experimental approaches that generate meaningful biological insight. This role is suited to a scientist who brings deep cell biology expertise, sound scientific judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively across research and development functions while helping guide project direction and scientific strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Lead cell biology assay development and optimization for preclinical research programs.
  • Design and execute in vitro experiments to evaluate cellular mechanisms and responses.
  • Analyze experimental data and present findings to cross‑functional R&D teams.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Mentor junior scientists and contribute to scientific strategy and project planning.
  • PhD in cell biology or a closely related life sciences field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in cell biology research and development.
  • Proven experience building cell‑based assays from scratch, optimizing assay conditions for reproducibility, and running preclinical in vitro studies focused on cellular response or mechanism of action.
  • Hands‑on expertise with mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, microscopy, ELISA, qPCR, and high‑content screening.
  • Proficiency with GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, and ImageJ, along with experience performing statistical analysis in R or Python.
  • Domain experience in oncology, immunology, inflammation, stem cell biology, or broader preclinical drug discovery within pharma or biotech.
  • Strong working knowledge of GLP, assay validation standards, laboratory documentation practices, and quality‑controlled preclinical environments.
  • Experience presenting findings to R&D leadership, collaborating with project teams, and partnering with manufacturing, testing, or regulatory colleagues.
  • Track record of mentoring junior scientists, leading project planning, and contributing to scientific strategy.
