Job description

Hospital: Parkridge Medical Center
Location: Chattanooga, TN
Address: 2333 McCallie Avenue
Unit: Preop holding/Day Surgery
Building: Main hospital
General Information
Unit Specifics:
• Number of Beds : 472
• Patient Ratios :
• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : US and Tech on staff in DS
• Type of equipment : Cardiac monitors, ultrasound, EKG machine
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: 3-12 hr shifts. Would consider 4-10 hr shifts. One closing day per week (stay until unit closes). Shift starts @ 5, 5:30, 6, 6:30 or 7 depending on surgery schedule. It will usually be 5:30 am unless it is day to close. Closing days schedule is 7:00 am until when last patient leaves. Pays time and ½ stay after 7:00pm on closing day.
• Floating policy: Will only work in Day Surgery and Preop holding
• Patient Experience requirements: Experience getting surgical patients ready for surgery and providing phase 2 recovery.
