Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacist in daily operations at St Joseph Pharmacy!. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized and has great customer service skills. We are a neighborhood pharmacy committed to personalized patient care and strong community relationships. Our pharmacy focuses on accuracy, efficiency, and providing exceptional service to every patient.
Responsibilities
  • Accurately input patient data and prescription information into pharmacy software.
  • Resolve insurance rejections and process prior authorizations.
  • Prepare and label medications for pharmacist verification.
  • Process third-party insurance claims including Medicare, Medicaid, PAAD and Commercial Plans.
  • Inventory Management including ordering medications and supplies, managing expiration dates and recalls, maintaining proper storage conditions.
  • Assist patients at drop-offs and pick-up, answer phone calls and triage to pharmacist when needed.
  • Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
  • Follow state Board of Pharmacy rules.
  • Maintain active certification and CE requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and math skills.
  • Adopt to business and patient needs.
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must have active Technician Certification/License
  • Strong organizational skills
  • The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed
  • Familiarity with pharmacy and medical terminology desired
