Job description

The Manager, Pharmacy Operations will lead and manage all functions of the pharmacy production team including nonsterile to sterile compounding activities, sterile to sterile compounding activities, hazardous drug compounding activities, monitoring of environmental controls, cleaning activities, inventory management, and patient safety initiatives as well as build and develop production procedures for new service offerings.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Oversees the development and implementation of production protocols and staff education programs related to USP 797 and USP 800.
  • Implements, performs, and oversees internal audits of production staff to ensure compliance to all policies and procedures related to sterile compounding and cleaning activities.
  • Adheres to and assures the pharmacy is performing consistent with all organization policies and procedures, makes recommendations for changes and updates as needed, and ensures all relevant staff are trained on USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines.
  • Develops and maintains an ongoing staffing model to assure that the pharmacy teams are appropriately staffed to meet the demands of the business in an efficient and comprehensive manner.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • BS Pharm or PharmD degree
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience within infusion services related to USP 797/800 and licensure to practice pharmacy in the state the pharmacy resides.
  • Strong tactical implementation skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent project management ability and organizational/time management skills.

Salary Range: $150,000 annually

Pentec Health offers a comprehensive compensation and full benefits package. Actual pay will be based on several factors such as qualifications and skills for the role plus geographic location.
