Director Pharmacy Operations

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Please note that per our policy on hybrid/virtual work, candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law. The Director Pharmacy Operations is responsible for managing the pharmacy operations for clinical program implementations ensuring that communications are responsive to health plan needs and meets all clinical quality standards.

How you will make an impact:

  • Directs activities related to development of clinical pharmacy programs.

  • Directs regional clinical program implementations and tracks call stats and interventions.

  • Establishes guidelines and facilitates policy creation and adherence.

  • Develops and defines procedures and systems to support clinical pharmacy program implementations.

  • Facilitates process enhancements to improve the overall effectiveness of clinical pharmacy programs.

  • Oversees budget planning and forecasting. Monitors and evaluates program implementations.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a PharmD, RPh or other advanced degree in a health related field and minimum of 5 years of experience in managed care; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Current unrestricted Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in applicable state(s) required.

  • Unless expressly allowed by state or federal law, or regulation, must be located in a state or territory of the United States when conducting pharmacy review or an appeals consideration and cannot be located on a US military base, vessel or any embassy located in or outside of the United States, unless they are command-sanctioned activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medicare experience preferred.

  • Medication Therapy Management (MTM) experience preferred.

  • Comprehensive Medication Review (CMR) experience preferred.

  • Workforce management, call center, telephony, or outbound campaign experience preferred.

  • PBM experience preferred.

  • Experience overseeing large initiatives and teams preferred.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $155,440.00 to $279,792.00.
