The Role: What You'll Do

As our Pharmacy Manager, you will lead your team in our community pharmacy by example, balancing clinical excellence with operational leadership. You will ensure our patients receive thoughtful, high-quality care while fostering a supportive and accountable workplace culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Patient-Centered Clinical Care: Assess new and repeat prescriptions for safety and efficacy using trauma-informed and harm-reduction approaches.
  • Medication & Disease Management: Develop, monitor, and adjust comprehensive health plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
  • Dispensing & Counseling: Oversee the safe preparation and dispensing of medications (including injections) and provide specialized adherence counseling.
  • Community Wellness Programs: Manage chronic disease therapies, spearhead screening programs, and support vital substance misuse and treatment initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and direct pharmacy staff and technicians to maintain exceptional service standards and strict regulatory compliance.


What You Bring to the Team

We are seeking a reliable, proactive leader with sound clinical judgment and a genuine desire to make a positive community impact.

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPhm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • Licensure: Valid, active license with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) in good standing.
  • Authorizations: Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) is required. Authorization to Administer Drugs by Injection is highly preferred.
  • Background Checks: A clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Record Check are mandatory.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with electronic health records and pharmacy software (experience with Kroll is a strong asset).
  • Experience: Previous experience in direct patient care and pharmacy management is preferred.
