What does a pharmacy inventory coordinator do?

A Pharmacy Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of medications and pharmaceutical supplies in a pharmacy. Their duties include ordering, receiving, and organizing stock, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring that all medications are stored properly according to regulations. They also collaborate with pharmacists and other staff to prevent shortages or overstock situations, handle expired or recalled products, and maintain accurate records for compliance and auditing purposes.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a pharmacy inventory coordinator?

To thrive as a Pharmacy Inventory Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with inventory management, often supported by a background in pharmacy operations or a related field.
