Job description

Manager Of Clinical Pharmacy

Managers thrive with us! We are looking for a Manager of Clinical Pharmacy for our Riverside Community Hospital team where excellence creates excellence.

You will coordinate clinical services for the Pharmacy Department staff, which will include the training, certification, and monitoring of drug therapy, utilizing pharmacokinetics, communication skills, computer applications, and continuous quality improvement to achieve outcomes that improve our patient's quality of life and follow the rules and regulations as defined by law and the professional standards set by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor of Science degree, or preferably a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy required
  • A minimum of five years of experience in hospital pharmacy practice through an academic training program or hospital pharmacy internship required
  • Completion of 1 year ASHP approved (PGY1 or general practice) Hospital Pharmacy Residency preferred
  • Experience with working with a number of different methods of drug distribution systems required
  • Required to have been previously involved in clinical pharmacy services and able to communicate and teach
  • Required to have supervised pharmacy technicians
  • Knowledge of TJC requirements, Quality Improvement, and Quality Monitoring for Pharmacy Services required
