About the Role

We are looking for an intern for a period of 4 months to carry out a paid internship in the research and development department.

Our Research and Development department is currently in the midst of a migration to the cloud and is looking for a talented, motivated and creative software development intern to lend a hand. In this position, you will have the chance to participate in stimulating projects with tangible impacts in the healthcare sector: our logistics systems are used from the warehouse to the operating room. You will be part of a Scrum team that emphasizes continuous improvement of practices and teamwork. You will develop in an AWS ecosystem in which we optimize the potential of new cloud architectures. Finally, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced architects and developers for whom having fun while working is not an option.

You will be responsible for:
  • Improve the various deployment and integration tools using containers (Docker)
  • Participate in the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
  • Employ test-driven development (TDD) techniques
  • Develop test automation strategies
  • Perform code reviews on the work of your peers
  • Participate in team scrum meetings: planning, analysis and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with the team to improve continuous integration techniques and processes

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Willingness to work in a DevOps team
  • Good knowledge of scripting language
  • Knowledge of Scrum/Agile methodology
  • Must be a logical, organized person with good interpersonal skills and must be able to work well under pressure
  • Must have excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Studying computer science or computer engineering in university
  • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
