Job description

Chesapeake Regional Pharmacy Services, a certified Woman-owned and Minority-owned business by the Delaware office of supplier diversity. Our pharmacy was established in Wilmington, DE by pharmacists who share a passion for providing patient-centric and specialized care to patients requiring long term care.
About the role
  • As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and become an integral part of our long-term care pharmacy team. This role provides hands-on experience in various aspects of pharmacy operations, helping prepare you for a successful career as a licensed pharmacist. You will be joining a collaborative environment focused on patient safety, workflow efficiency, and compliance with all regulatory standards.

What you'll do
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications, including reviewing and preparing prescriptions
  • Conduct data entry of prescription information into the pharmacy system
  • Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify prescription details and resolve issues
  • Support medication packaging, labeling, and delivery prep under pharmacist supervision
  • Help maintain proper inventory levels and perform expiration date checks
  • Participate in medication reconciliation and chart reviews as assigned
  • Observe and learn regulatory requirements specific to long-term care pharmacy
  • Provide exceptional customer service to nursing staff, caregivers, and patients' families
  • Complete projects and training modules designed to support your learning and professional growth
  • Assist Pharmacist in Patient Chart Reviews

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy (P1-P4 year)
