The Sr. Data Analyst is accountable for use case creation, scope management, process improvement, service management, stakeholder analysis, requirement gathering and/or test case creation for medium to large size projects/programs through all phases of the SDLC to achieve goals


Role and Responsibilities

  • This role involves working directly with the Technology Team and Product Partner to deliver data products based on business requirements in supporting our corporate strategies
  • Lead use case creation, scope management, process improvement, service management, stakeholder analysis, requirement gathering and/or test case creation for medium to large size projects/programs through all phases of the SDLC to achieve goals
  • Partner with key stakeholders from different functional areas to understand business needs and how it impacts the ongoing development, testing and operations of our model data management solutions
  • Assists with the understanding, clarification, and implementation of business requirements
  • Leads small projects writing, prioritizing, and managing all product user stories and properly articulate and document user story acceptance criteria
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and non-functional requirements in accordance with design specifications
  • Demonstrate ability across a range of technologies related to the storage, transfer, integration, visualization, and analysis of large and complex data sets
  • Identify and propose new data sources to enhance the breadth and quality of the data captured and processed
  • Maintain necessary processes, controls, and procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to business stakeholders in making decisions related to data rules
  • Develop reconciliation programs to monitor the integrity of the production system data
  • Develop and present professional quality presentations and demonstrations to both engineering and business stakeholders on system strategy, design, and project progress
  • Managed, mentored team members and led efforts to develop mappings of multiple claims products to a canonical schema.
  • Provided technical vendor management to ensure that downstream data is of consistently precise and of high quality.
  • Managed the onboarding of new data vendors and data sources.
  • Design, build, and maintain appropriate data models and structures in support of analytics, data profiling, data rules and data lineage
  • Design and develop quality process and procedures to ensure effective availability, definition, and integrity of data assets
  • Work with data stewards to define data rules, develop reference data and master data to support business initiatives and projects
  • Analyze and profile data to identify new business opportunities and others to implement a solution that impacts business in a positive manner
  • Develop and maintain documentation on execution of the processes and data including data lineage, metadata, and required data governance outputs
  • Ensure compliance to Enterprise Data Governance policies and standards while defining the data definition and data quality framework for Master Data Management
Requirements:

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare and pharmaceutical domain
  • 7+ years of data and analytics experience
  • Experience in preparing data mapping requirements from raw data to build a standardized schema and providing detailed ETL requirements.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data warehouses and data management systems
  • Demonstrates expert skills in mathematical and statistical techniques and approaches used to drive fact-based decision-making.
  • Expert knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, developing analysis queries and procedures in SQL, BI tools, or other analysis software
  • Knowledge Industry data and methods and ability to connect external insights to business problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Detail oriented, able to multi-task, adapt to change and effectively prioritize work
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Teams
