Mechanical Engineer
Location: Jacksonville, FL
About Performance Engineering Group
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering design and consulting services for commercial and industrial projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging and innovative projects across multiple industries while collaborating with a highly skilled team of engineers and industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare mechanical engineering designs, calculations, and construction documents.
  • Develop HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system designs for commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Utilize Revit/BIM software for project design and coordination.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Participate in project meetings, site visits, and field investigations.
  • Support commissioning activities and provide technical expertise throughout project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
  • Minimum of 3 years of mechanical engineering design experience on commercial and/or industrial projects.
  • Experience using Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure.
