Site Safety Manager – Spearhead Safety and Compliance for Complex Industrial Operations

The Opportunity

You will step into a crucial leadership role, directing field safety across high-stakes demolition and industrial rigging sites. Working on landmark industrial projects, you will protect field crews while driving 100% regulatory compliance. This is your chance to showcase your safety expertise and elevate operational standards for a 91-year-old, family-owned industry pioneer.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Enforce comprehensive site safety protocols across specialized plant dismantling, crane setups, and selective demolition projects.
  • Execute regular field safety audits, detailed hazard assessments, and job safety analyses tailored to complex job sites.
  • Lead specialized safety training sessions, including toolbox talks, confined space entry protocols, and equipment safety.
  • Investigate near-misses and site incidents through root-cause analysis to implement immediate, effective corrective actions.
  • Maintain absolute compliance with OSHA, NYC DOB, and local environmental safety regulations across all assigned projects.
  • Coordinate directly with site supervisors and unionized trade crews to foster a proactive, zero-incident safety culture.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of dedicated field safety supervision in high-risk, complex construction or demolition environments.
  • Active NYC DOB Site Safety Manager License (physical card or current DOB License Renewal Receipt).
  • Valid 62-Hour Site Safety Training (SST) Supervisor Card compliant with NYC Local Law 196.
  • Active OSHA 30-Hour Construction Card and 40-Hour Site Safety Manager Course Certificate with active refreshers.
  • Physical capability to perform rigorous site inspections, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and navigating active terrain.
  • Absolute flexibility to travel across the NY/NJ Metro area, with occasional travel to other states and Puerto Rico.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid 32-Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor or 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User certifications.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
  • Active FDNY Fire Safety Manager (F-87) certification for managing complex hot work operations.
  • Professional bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
