This Lab Supervisor position in our Coil division within the Color Science group will be responsible for a variety of exciting activities related to managing of color science priorities and projects, troubleshooting, and execute on agreed upon development plans for the team. This position will be reporting to remote management.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1,etc.)
    Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math field.  
    Must be at least 18 years of age. 
    1-3 years of chemical industry 
    Supervising and evaluating employees
    Experience applying basic project management concepts and basic business administration principles and practices
    Experience applying department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
    Experience applying comprehensive application methods and procedures 
    Experience applying chemistry principles and practices; including formulation of liquid coating
    Experience communicating technical information  
    Advanced PC skills; including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
    Must be willing to travel
    Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to determine the difference between colors so you can correctly tint paint to the colors desired by customers.
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
   Prior experience managing and leading others.

Travel Requirements: Up to 30%

   Assist in laboratory staffing needs, including hiring, training, tracking and evaluating performance, and performance management. 
   Manages maintenance of priorities and projects with moderate guidance. Assists in supporting new business opportunities by prioritizing and developing new or updated formulas; will perform tasks that require comprehensive understanding of chemistry and technology platforms 
   Assists with developing project timelines, materials, personnel, and other project requirements, receives direction and presents information to management. 
   Assists in gathering project data and presenting to stakeholders and management internally
    Determines corrective action and implements changes, receives direction on medium complex or unique circumstances.  
    Applies department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; ensures compliance with these areas. 
    Performs other duties as assigned.
