Legal Counsel (Construction & Industrial Services)

Bilfinger North America is seeking an experienced in-house Legal Counsel to support its construction and industrial services operations across the U.S. This is a hands-on transactional and advisory role embedded in a fast-moving operational environment.

What You'll Do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate customer-side construction and industrial services contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs) with process industrial operators, offshore oil & gas operators, and midstream and downstream firms.
  • Support sales, estimating, and bid response (tender) teams during the proposal and bidding phases.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Evaluate risk-return profiles of all customer contracts and advise the business and risk management teams accordingly.
  • Advise project and operations teams on contract rights, obligations, and risk.
  • Provide legal counsel to your business colleagues on all other business areas which may be assigned from time to time.

What We're Looking For

  • Texas-licensed attorney with 5–7 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction or industrial services.
  • Hands-on experience with customer-side contracts, including offshore oil & gas operators, as well as subcontractor and supplier transactions.
  • Comfortable working directly with sales, operations, and project teams, with close collaboration within the legal team.
  • Business-oriented, practical, and able to move appropriately without over-lawyering.
  • A “team first” mindset – able and willing to be a supportive and collaborative member of Bilfinger’s North American and global legal teams.
