Job description

Our Warehouse Technician I - Shipping Center plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards of our pharmaceutical products. Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include inventory replenishments and shipping processes utilizing manual and automated technology. Our ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and able to shift gears at a moment's notice. The technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that inventory is correctly stocked and labeled, ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of compounded pharmaceutical products directly to customers. This position involves receiving, preparing, packaging, and managing inventory of pharmaceutical products, utilizing carrier shipping systems, maintaining shipping records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Warehouse Technician - Shipping Center I collaborates with the customer service team to address shipping-related issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing shipping processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
This is a full-time role working Wednesday through Saturday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM. This is a set, consistent schedule with minimum overtime requirements and based on site in our Phoenix, Arizona location. This is a safety sensitive position that may be subject to random drug testing, in accordance with applicable laws.

What the Warehouse Technician I - Shipping Center Does Each Day:
  • Verifies bill of lading and packing slips including quantity, vendor lot number, and expiration date, transacts, and reconciles activity ensuring timeliness and accuracy following established departmental procedures and best practices
  • Handles defective, damaged and/or expired inventory in accordance with established departmental policy
  • Unloads trucks of materials and loads recycling material on trucks in a safe, timely and cost- effective manner
  • Completes accurately all required paperwork as well as ERP system transactions using good documentation practices aligned with CGMP and company policies and procedures
  • Support direct distribution of customer orders from pick list drop through to carrier pick-up
  • Pick and package compounded pharmaceutical products for direct shipment to customers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Manage inventory of released compounded products and packaging materials to ensure adequate stock levels for efficient order processing
  • Utilize carrier shipping software and systems to create shipping labels, track packages, and schedule pickups for timely delivery to customers
  • Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and proper packaging to prevent damage during transit

  • Has good communication and customer service skills
  • Is knowledgeable of discrete batch manufacturing in pharmaceutical
  • Is a team player and prioritizes their time effectively

Minimum Requirements for this Role:
  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able and willing to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout each shift, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • 18+ years of age
  • Requires an active drivers license
  • Able to successfully complete a drug, background check and motor vehicle report
  • Familiarity with and comfortable using mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, handhelds
  • 2-4 years of experience in anyone, or combination of the following: Distribution, Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving, Logistics, Material handling, Customer Service, Inventory Control, or other comparable service line
  • Basic computer and data entry skills experienced in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Completion of picking, packing, and closing competency assessments
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Quva will not sponsor applicants for work visas

Any of the Following Will Give You an Edge:
  • Pharmaceutical experience
  • AS400 and INFOR or other ERP experience highly desired
  • Ability to drive forklift, use electric and manual power jacks (Training will be provided)
