We are in the process of growing our busy, internal ad agency and are seeking a talented Art Director. In this role, you will help develop high impact and effective concepts and bring these concepts to life with your advanced design and artistic/technical skills. This creative will be part of an integrated campaign and applied across various marketing tactics and deliverables. You will help establish and support leading practices that ensure design aligns with brand standards and corporate look and feel.
Preferred qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an agency or in-house corporate setting working on integrated campaigns
Must have a strong digital portfolio demonstrating advanced concept and design skills for integrated, multi-channel campaigns.
Advance design, artistic and technical skills withthe ability to create original artwork and designs
Demonstrated excellence on both MAC and PC platforms
Expert skills in applications including, but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat) and Microsoft Office
Expert knowledge of concept development, layout, typography, color, and branding with a strong eye for detail and design
Bachelor's degree Graphic Design or related field.
Expert knowledge of production techniques including printing, paper and materials
Extensive experience with both digital and offset printing with on-press supervision
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects proactively and meet deadlines.
Proven ability to work independently and as a team to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Consistently demonstrates a high level of customer satisfaction for internal and external stakeholders
Scientific background and/or understanding of biology and genetics and/or pharma/biotech/medical industry experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
Develop creative campaign concepts, working closely with copywriters, art directors, designers, production team, brand management, integrated communications management, and product managers as applicable.
Develop original graphics and designs to support marketing, events, and promotional collateral such as, but not limited to, flyers, posters, brochures, booth graphics, banners, sales tools, promotional items, and other advertising material as required
Participate in brainstorming sessions with other members of the creative team and outside agencies in order to develop ideas for campaign concepts, visuals, and copy.
Consult with functional departments throughout the company to develop designs and advertising materials in support of strategic objectives
Develop templates to drive consistency and efficiency
Develop and improve design processes and standards
Organize and maintain image and digital asset library
Attend and participate in meetings as required
Maintain professional business relations with external agencies, vendors, and suppliers.
Coordinate marketing activities with printers, service agencies, advertisers, and vendors to complete design projects on time
Mentor junior designers to promote their development and growth
