Job Summary:

They are seeking a seasoned pharma media and advertising expert to serve as the product owner for their Pharma vertical, responsible for owning the product vision and roadmap, managing complex integrations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance pharma capabilities.
Responsibilities:
โข Own the product vision and roadmap for pharma and health media capabilities across The Trade Desk platform, including HCP targeting audience activation workflows, and integrations with health-native DSPs and data partners.
โข Serve as the primary product owner for complex integrations with health-native DSPs and specialized health data platforms, ensuring seamless activation, measurement, and reporting for pharmaceutical advertisers.
โข Partner with pharma brand teams, agency trading desks (including health-specialist agencies), and data partners to identify capability gaps and translate them into scalable product requirements.
โข Define and drive requirements for HCP audience segmentation, measurement, health identity workflows, and data partnerships across The Trade Desk's ecosystem.
โข Build and operationalize compliance frameworks specific to pharmaceutical advertising in close partnership with Legal, Privacy, and Policy teams.
โข Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to design back-end systems, APIs, and data architectures that support health-specific data ingestion, identity resolution, and measurement pipelines while embedding privacy-by-design principles.
โข Lead cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, data science, legal, and commercial teams to deliver pharma capabilities that are both technically rigorous and commercially differentiated.
โข Develop frameworks to optimize for the most salient pharma KPIs (such as HCP reach and frequency, patient journey analytics, etc), in partnership with health data providers and internal teams.
โข Anticipate regulatory shifts and proactively advise on product strategy and compliance readiness as the health privacy landscape evolves.
โข Represent The Trade Desk externally with pharma clients, agency partners, and health data ecosystems as a credible product and industry voice and regularly intake feedback to inform future product roadmap and strategy.
Qualifications:
Required:
โข 10+ years of experience in pharma media and advertising, with deep hands-on expertise across HCP and DTC campaign strategy, planning, buying, or product, at a pharmaceutical brand, health-specialist agency, health data company, or ad tech platform serving the pharma vertical.
โข Comprehensive knowledge of the health media ecosystem and the data partnerships, targeting workflows, and measurement approaches specific to pharmaceutical advertisers.
โข Proven experience managing complex product integrations with health-native DSPs and specialized health data platforms.
โข Strong working knowledge of the regulatory and compliance landscape governing pharmaceutical advertising: HIPAA, NAI health data guidelines, FDA promotional requirements, and emerging state health privacy frameworks.
โข Technical fluency sufficient to partner credibly with engineering teams on API design, data pipeline architecture, identity resolution, and access control models.
โข Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment across product, legal, commercial, and engineering stakeholders in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
โข Exceptional communication skills! Able to translate pharma industry requirements into engineering specifications, and complex technical constraints into business-friendly narratives for brand and agency clients.
