Job description

Petroplan is seeking an innovative Human Resources Manager on behalf of a US Based LNG Company. This role will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and will be responsible for guiding and managing our clients growing team in areas such as talent management, compliance, employee relations, performance management, and learning and development. The ideal candidate will also have experience in building and leading teams in rapidly growing environments.


This position is located in Arlington, Virginia, and does not offer a hybrid word schedule.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the HR point of contact for the corporate office.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leadership and staff on employee relations matters, conduct internal investigations related to workplace issues, and offer recommendations for resolution.
  • Advise on compliance and employment law-related matters.
  • Manage the employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Support the development of accessible HR policies and procedures that align with federal and local regulations and contribute positively to the organization's culture.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of company-wide HR initiatives.
  • Contribute to the formulation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Oversee the performance management process, including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Lead HR team members and act as the primary point of escalation.

Qualifications:

  • At least ten years of experience as an HR generalist and are passionate about the role HR plays within an organization. You are eager to stay updated on the latest best practices and are enthusiastic about helping to shape a distinctive and forward-thinking employment brand. US and/or global SHRM/PHR certifications are a plus.
  • Highly skilled with modern ATS and HRIS platforms and are always looking for ways to streamline processes through technical solutions. Experience with Greenhouse and/or ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
  • The ability to excel at managing multiple projects simultaneously, keeping a close eye on details to ensure nothing is overlooked.
  • Ability to communicate your ideas clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, to a variety of audiences. You understand the power of language and have the ability to coach others in effective communication.
