SUMMARY

The Petroleum Equipment Service Technician will install and service equipment such as Comdata, Veeder Root, Verifone registers, and Red Jacket and other related Petroleum equipment. This person will have knowledge of UST (underground storage tanks), AST (above ground storage tanks) also compliance testing. This person will provide excellent customer service, responding to customer demand calls and perform preventative maintenance on contracted and owned equipment. The Petroleum Equipment Service Technician will ensure equipment is fully operational and properly maintained and will be responsible for managing vehicle inventory and perform needed administrative tasks. Gas Express will offer Technicians a variety of internal and supplier training programs to ensure company Petroleum Equipment Service Technicians are up-to-date with the latest technology and knowledge needed for this position.

Key Responsibilities for the Position:

  • Services, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs a variety of petroleum equipment and mechanical shop equipment including fuel dispensers, pumps, lines, hoses, valves, and leak detection monitoring equipment, automotive lifts, air and petroleum dispensing hose reels, pumps, lubricating equipment, air compressors, and related equipment; keeps daily record of work orders completed.
  • Reports equipment or process failures in order to protect Company assets.
  • Services, repairs, and maintains fuel storage and dispensing equipment and mechanical equipment used in maintenance and repair.
  • Demonstrates superior seamless customer service, integrity, and commitment to innovation, efficiency, and fiscally responsible activity.
  • Communicate with customers and explain technical issues to non-technical people.
  • Present yourself professionally as a company representative and be prompt when making service calls.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of procedures, practices, tools and materials used in the maintenance and repair of liquid fuel and hydraulic, electrical and mechanical shop support equipment.
  • Knowledge of petroleum leak detection and maintenance of systems and equipment.
  • Skill in care and use of shop tools and equipment.
  • Skill in servicing, repairing and rebuilding liquid fuel dispensers, pumps, piping, valves and vapor recovery systems.
  • Skill in diagnosis and field repair of petroleum product leak detection systems.
  • Possess experience and/or knowledge of inventory control and management.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English language.
  • Ability to read and understand technical schematics and technical service bulletins.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Ability to lift arms above shoulder level to work on equipment.
  • Excellent mechanical abilities
