Sales Account Manager, Texas Region

Territory: Texas, with select accounts in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

Preferred Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex or the Austin/San Antonio corridor.

ABOUT ANTELOPE

Antelope is reimagining pet care through a modern omnichannel platform built for today’s pet parents. Since launching in 2021, we’ve been on a mission to raise the standard for what pets eat, how they’re cared for, and the brands behind it all.

Our name says it all. Ante means raising the bar. Lope means moving forward together. That’s exactly what we’re doing by acquiring and growing some of the most loved natural pet brands in the market.

Backed by Alpine Investors, we’ve already brought together a standout portfolio including Bocce’s Bakery, Diggin’ Your Dog / Super Snouts, My Perfect Pet, and Ark Naturals. And we’re just getting started. With plans to continue expanding, we’re building the go-to house of brands for independent pet retailers and passionate pet parents alike.

OVERVIEW

We’re looking for someone who wants to own their territory and build something meaningful across Texas and surrounding markets. This role is at the heart of our independent pet channel. You’ll manage and grow existing accounts while opening new doors, building lasting customer relationships, and driving the business forward.

The ideal candidate will be based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area or the Austin/San Antonio corridor, providing convenient access to customers throughout the territory.

You’ll represent the full Antelope portfolio, including Bocce’s Bakery, Super Snouts, Ark Naturals, My Perfect Pet, and future brands as our portfolio continues to grow.

This is a great fit for someone who is:

  • Self-motivated
  • Relationship-driven
  • Energized by being in the field and building customer relationships

This field-based role requires approximately 50 to 60% travel throughout Texas, with occasional travel to accounts in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana, as well as attendance at trade shows, sales meetings, and company events.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with independent pet retailers throughout your territory
  • Grow existing accounts while proactively identifying and opening new business opportunities
  • Own your territory and consistently achieve sales goals
  • Represent and sell the full Antelope portfolio, including Bocce’s Bakery, Super Snouts, Ark Naturals, My Perfect Pet, and future brands
  • Lead engaging product trainings and educational events that bring our brands to life
  • Use CRM tools and sales data to prioritize opportunities and develop territory strategies
  • Manage trade spend and promotional investments responsibly
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Represent Antelope at industry trade shows, customer events, and regional meetings
  • Jump in wherever needed as we continue to grow
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of outside sales or account management experience; pet industry experience is a plus
  • Passion for pets and the independent pet retail industry
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting, selling, and educating customers
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities across a large territory
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and follows through
  • Positive, collaborative, team-first mindset
  • Resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area or the Austin/San Antonio corridor (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory
WHY JOIN ANTELOPE
  • Own a high-impact territory with the opportunity to make a visible difference
  • Represent a growing portfolio of premium pet brands loved by retailers and pet parents
  • Join a fast-growing company where ideas are welcomed, decisions happen quickly, and your work has real impact
  • Be part of a collaborative, entrepreneurial team that’s passionate about building the future of pet care
PERKS & BENEFITS
  • Field-based role covering the Texas region, supported by a remote-first, highly connected team
  • Flexible PTO
  • Competitive compensation
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Professional development and learning opportunities
  • Home office stipend
  • Parental leave, including “pawternity”
  • Discounted Antelope products and pet insurance
