The Role

As theBlastOneField InstallationTechnicianyou willbe responsible forsupporting the installation team (customer or contractor) to ensure on time delivery of installation schedules andthat the quality of installation meets the customer andBlastOneexpectations.You will act as theliaisonbetween the customer and theBlastOnedelivery team toeffectivelycommunicate installation status,risksand unforeseen impacts to the delivery schedule.

Points of responsibility include:

  • Detailed review of new system installations to confirmprintsand functioning as designed.
  • Conduct startup and commissionofnewinstallations.
  • Generateinstallation and commissioningreports.
  • Provide support to sub-contractors to ensure installation steps are completed with the expected level of quality per the design intent.
  • Conduct training for operations and maintenance groups.
  • Conduct over phone support to customers.
  • Trouble shoot and diagnose mechanical systems during start up phases of installation.
  • Trouble shoot and diagnose electrical systemsduring start up phases of installation.
  • Review existing PLC programs for troubleshoot and diagnoseof installation and commissioning steps
  • Check inventory of delivered components tovalidateallparts areavailable for installation.
  • Communicate with the customer through the installation phase for any inquiries and requirements from thecustomerscope of work.
  • Solicitation andgather feedbackfrom sub-contractors foruseof continuous improvement for installation processes and standards
  • Work with PMs and PEsto derisk potential field issues during the installation phase.
  • Daily communication of project status includingpunchlistitems and risks to project delivery.
  • Identifypotential risks in theinstallationphase and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate risk factors to ensure proactive decision-making.
  • Implement quality control measures to guarantee the accuracy and completeness ofinstallations.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Installationor servicetechnicanor similar role
  • 2+ years of experience installing,maintainingand troubleshooting industrial equipment (pneumatic,electricaland mechanical).
  • 3-5 years of extensive Controls experience (including diagnosing complex, intermittent system failures), programming in addition to troubleshooting, commissioning and retrofitting multiple OEMs, supporting PLC platforms (such as Beckhoff and Schneider etc.)
  • Demonstrated success insupporting high-performance teams in a technical project environment.
  • Solid technical background with understanding of installation procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability tosupportand coordinate multiple teamsduring installation phases
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
