Job description

Overview
The Shield Co. Management / EcoShield Pest Solutions is one of the fastest-growing pest control companies in the country! Our mission is to create the world's happiest family, and our purpose is to spread happiness. We do this by delivering exceptional experiences to our customers, employees, partners, and communities-treating everyone like family. This position is on-site and reports to our Troy, Michigan branch.
The Start Technician (Start Tech) is responsible for providing 5-star customer service to new customers, performing the first pest control application by applying chemicals and other manual solutions to eliminate pests.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform initial indoor and outdoor pest control applications for new customers, ensuring thoroughness and attention to detail.
  • Interact with customers to explain service features and benefits, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Follow scheduled routes, communicate with office staff and managers, and maintain accurate, organized records.
  • Maintain equipment, vehicle, and personal safety gear in good working condition, while utilizing technology to manage appointments and customer records.

Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of customer service experience, preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older, posses a valid driver's license and have 3+ consecutive years of driving history as driving a company vehicle is an essential function of this role. Driving record must meet the company's insurance standards.
  • Earn and maintain state-required training and pest control licensing if applicable (provided).

Required Availability:
  • Monday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: Off

Pay
  • Weekly Pay - get paid every Friday!
  • This position offers an hourly base pay range of ($18.00 - $20.00)/hour, with additional compensation opportunities.
