Job description


A Day in the Life of a Pest Control Technician:

As a Pest Control Technician at Lookout Pest Control, you’ll be the hero keeping homes and businesses pest-free!

Your days will be action-packed with treatments, inspections, solving pest problems, and creating custom plans. You'll deliver top-notch service, answer questions, and make sure every customer feels confident and cared for.

You'll stay sharp by following safety protocols, keeping detailed records, and staying on top of the latest pest control techniques. Whether working solo or with a team, you’ll have a rewarding, hands-on role that makes a real difference for our customers—and fuels our company’s success!

Essential Functions:

  • Abide by company safety policies and regulatory requirements including the application, storing, and mixing of product, donning of Personal Protective Equipment, and safe operation of equipment, vehicles, and tools
  • Operate company vehicle safely and lawfully
  • Obtain and maintain all industry required licenses and registrations through testing and continuing education credits
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of equipment and vehicle for cleanliness, preservation, longevity, efficacy, and safety
  • Collaborate with customers to schedule or confirm appointments, services, and appropriate preparation for your appointments
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the exterior of customer properties and identify pests, signs of pest activity, and conducive conditions
  • Engage with customers as necessary to discuss findings, treatment, additional services, and payment
  • Treat and inspect the interior of properties as necessary or requested including, attics, basements, voids, and crawl spaces
  • Treat targeted areas and pests using appropriate product, equipment, and technique as determined by the pest being targeted, the area the product is being applied to, and the environmental conditions the product is being applied
  • Record services, pest activity, products used, and graphs, accurately as prescribed by company policy and regulatory requirements
  • Remove cobwebs and spider webs from the exterior of structures being treated
  • Collaborate with Sales to generate leads by identifying opportunities for additional services
  • Attend required training and meetings as prescribed
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have & maintain a valid driver's license and motor vehicle record that conform to our Safe Driver Policy and insurance requirements
  • Must pass state-required exam for registration/certification after hired
  • Must be over the age of 18
  • Must be able to read and speak English fluently
  • Must pass post-offer drug screening
  • Weekend work as required

Work Conditions

  • Daily driving between stops
  • Indoor/outdoor work in seasonal weather conditions including, heat, cold, and rain
  • Required to climb stairs, and access attics, crawl spaces, and other voids,
  • Kneeling, bending, stooping, crawling, to inspect and treat
  • Uneven terrain around the perimeter of structures, and landscaping
  • May carry product filled containers and operate motorized applicators,
  • Frequent interactions with customers via mobile device
