Today, the practice includes comprehensive personal injury representation, such as car collisions, dog bites, slip and falls, and workers compensation. Team members join a practice committed to serving diverse client needs with professionalism and care.

Role Description The Personal Injury/Workers Compensation Paralegal will support attorneys in managing personal injury and workers compensation cases from intake through resolution. Day-to-day responsibilities include client communication, gathering medical records and documentation, organizing case files, and drafting legal documents such as correspondence, pleadings, and discovery responses. The role involves conducting factual and legal research, reviewing and summarizing medical records and other evidence, and preparing materials for hearings, mediations, and trials. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Warwick, RI, requiring consistent collaboration with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case progression and high-quality client service.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in personal injury and workers compensation matters.
  • Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and correspondence.
  • Effective Communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, medical providers, and insurance representatives.
  • Research and Document Review abilities to analyze case facts, medical records, and legal issues.
  • Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in litigation or personal injury/workers compensation is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Competence with legal case management software and standard office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in a related field, or paralegal certificate from an accredited program is beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and maintain client confidentiality.
