Job description

Tayfel & Associates, LLC is a trusted plaintiffs’ firm dedicated to providing excellence to a broad range of clients who have suffered injuries. Our office is located in the Warehouse District of downtown Cleveland. We are seeking a full-time, experienced Personal Injury Paralegal who will report to the Senior Paralegal – Office Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain calendar to stay ahead of deadlines and communications
  • Maintain digital and physical files in an organized manner
  • Draft/Review incoming correspondence, pleadings and discovery to identify next steps
  • Pro-actively takes next steps with good judgement to keep matters moving forward
  • Request medical records and final bills to draft demand letters; letters to medical experts and discovery responses and requests
  • Draft pleadings and discovery responses/requests
  • File/E-file across multiple Courts and Counties with accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare Trial Notebooks, Exhibits and other duties as necessary to prepare for trial
  • Answer telephone calls in a professional manner to resolve or take a message
  • Other duties as assigned

Specialized Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution or Associate/Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies
  • Knowledge and experience working with Personal Injury and Wrongful Death clients. Social Security knowledge and experience is a plus but not required.
  • Litigation and trial experience required
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivator who isn’t afraid to ask questions as they take ownership in outcomes to ensure clients continue to experience high-quality representation
  • Ability to professionally interact with clients, defense firms, witnesses, and other parties throughout a matter
  • Strong document management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with EvenUp or another personal injury AI platform is a plus but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with ability to be flexible, handle pressure, and adapt to changes in workflow and assignments, completing assigned tasks timely and efficiently.
