We are looking to fill the position of a case manager/paralegal to work alongside attorneys and achieve clients’ goals. Our ideal candidate will have experience in case management as a paralegal or legal assistant and be skilled in customer service, drafting documents, managing case files, and have an investigative mindset. We need someone who is an effective communicator, incredibly organized, and self-motivated. Our case managers play an essential role in ensuring that clients’ goals are met. Responsibilities

  • Perform research to obtain documentation regarding health insurance, medical records, social security, and medical providers
  • Consult with attorneys and provide recommendations with regard to cost and time-effective ways to accomplish the client’s goals
  • Aid attorneys with all aspects of case management, and calendaring
  • Manage, update, and organize all case files and information with regard to engagement, whether electronic or paper, in accordance with firm policies
  • Communicate case status with clients and third party individuals as requested
  • Timely and Effective Client Communication
  • Manage, update, and organize client files with all incoming pertinent information
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to assist clients’ navigation through the process of their case
  • Communication with insurance companies and other third-party vendors
  • Provide assistance with property damage as needed
  • Drafting amendments to complaints
  • Serving defendants & posting jury fees
  • Filing and serving demand for jury trials
  • Drafting and timely filing case management documents, declarations, etc.
  • Retaining and designating experts for trial
  • Preparing trial notebooks

Qualifications

  • Ability to multitask and stay self-motivated
  • Previous case management process experience is needed - preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant at a personal injury law firm
  • Comfortable with computer programs, paperless files, Microsoft Office, and case management softwares
  • Exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral are needed

·       Candidates must be highly organized with outstanding attention to detail

·       2+ years of experience in Personal Injury Law with a focus on Slip and Fall incidents

·       Some litigation experience is a plus

·       Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
