Job description

The Role: Artistry in Service
As a Gift Shop Associate, you are a brand ambassador. You aren't just "ringing up items"-you are providing expert recommendations, sharing local knowledge, and ensuring that every guest's journey is elevated by their visit to your shop.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • The Chamonix Welcome: Greet every guest with a genuine smile and a warm, proactive welcome.
  • Curated Selling: Act as a personal shopper by identifying guest needs and suggesting the perfect memento or essential.
  • Luxury Presentation: Efficiently process transactions while engaging in sophisticated conversation and meticulously wrapping purchases to our 4-star standard.
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage currency and point-of-sale operations with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Information Hub: Serve as a resort expert, answering questions about the Gift Shop and the broader Chamonix Resort.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain a pristine shop environment, process paperwork neatly, and answer phones with a "smile you can hear."
  • Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to the Colorado Limited Gaming Act and internal safety protocols.

Requirements
  • Licensing: Must possess (or be able to obtain) a valid State of Colorado Gaming License.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in upscale retail or luxury hospitality is preferred.
  • Communication: Exceptional English verbal skills.
  • Agility: Ability to stand for a full shift and lift up to 35 lbs. We are a fast-paced resort; you must thrive under pressure and remain organized.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$17.00 an hour + tips, based on experience
