• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to accurately evaluate the mental health needs of clients, leading to the formulation of personalized treatment plans.
• Offer short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services to clients experiencing immediate psychological challenges, ensuring they receive timely support.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops addressing pertinent topics such as stress management, coping strategies, and personal development, providing a platform for shared experiences.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and community organizations, to ensure holistic patient care and support seamless referrals.
• Engage in outreach programs that focus on mental health awareness, including but not limited to campaigns, educational workshops, and wellness events designed to destigmatize mental health issues.

Our patient community is diverse, comprising individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and mental health challenges. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work predominantly with clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological issues. You will leverage your expertise to address the unique challenges experienced by our patients, many of whom may be navigating their mental health within the hospital context.

• An active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is mandatory.
• A strong understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health in hospital settings.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with clients and collaboration within a diverse medical team.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and brief therapy models relevant to outpatient settings.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently while prioritizing tasks in a dynamic work environment.

• At least 2 years of relevant counseling experience in mental health, preferably within a community health or hospital clinic.
• Experience in crisis intervention and group facilitation is highly regarded.
