Job Title: Marketing Specialist
Reports to: Senior VP of Marketing amp; Design
Summary
The Marketing Specialist supports the marketing team in developing fragrance concepts and client-ready brand solutions. This role assists with consumer insight gathering, market analysis, and trend tracking to help identify opportunities for business growth. The Marketing Specialist collaborates cross-functionally with Fragrance Development, Sales, and Regulatory teams to translate market information into presentations and marketing initiatives. This position focuses on execution, organization, and creative support, while building strategic thinking skills and gradually taking on increased ownership of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Market Intelligence amp; Trend Analysis
• Support market analysis across fragrance categories
• Track cross-category developments and assist in identifying emerging consumer trends
• Help translate consumer insights into fragrance and brand opportunities
• Assist with competitive benchmarking across fragrance, flavor, and related technologies
• Contribute to identifying opportunities to support business growth
Concept amp; Program Development
• Assist in developing fragrance concepts, brand storytelling, and client-facing presentations supported by market data
• Support creation of trend reports and category-specific initiatives
• Help translate cultural trends and olfactive themes into brand narratives
• Support business planning, product positioning, and promotional strategies
• Assist in developing proactive concept programs aligned with client needs
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with Marketing and cross-development teams
• Support translation of consumer and market insights into fragrance development guidelines
• Assist in managing multiple briefs and support fragrance selection processes
• Help coordinate fragrance testing and evaluation processes when needed
• Contribute to olfactory analysis of fragrance submissions, as well as competitive and new product launches
Client Engagement amp; Presentations
• Support development of client presentations, new business pitches, and innovation decks
• Assist in preparing fragrance concepts and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and trade events as appropriate
• Contribute ideas for proactive concepting and ideation
Program amp; Project Management
• Support management of timelines and deliverables across multiple project briefs and accounts
• Assist with planning, execution, and tracking of marketing initiatives (events, content, campaigns)
• Help with trade show planning and preparation when needed
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support timely project delivery
Team Contribution
• Collaborate with team members to support marketing initiatives and deliverables
• Contribute to team best practices and shared resources
• Build knowledge of categories, customers, and fragrance strategy over time
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects with guidance
Content amp; Communications
• Create and edit copy for presentations, trend reports, and marketing materials
• Ensure consistency in messaging across marketing deliverables
• Support brand awareness initiatives and internal communications
Qualifications
• 2–4 years of marketing experience, preferably in fragrance, flavors, beauty, personal care, or home care
• Interest in consumer insights, market research, and trend analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop presentations and marketing materials
• Organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative mindset with ability to work cross-functionally
• Interest in fragrance and creative brand development preferred
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office tools
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize
• Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and grow within the role
