The Gifted Hands Counseling Center is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to join our compassionate team. This remote position allows counselors to deliver therapeutic services through a user-friendly telehealth platform, ensuring accessibility for clients across Torrance, California, and beyond. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for clients to create individualized treatment plans that address their unique mental health needs.
  • Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy, to facilitate effective interventions.
  • Deliver therapy in a virtual format to individuals, couples, families, and groups, adapating techniques to suit different dynamics and situations.
  • Document all clinical interactions meticulously, maintaining accurate records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to enhance the quality of care provided to clients.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops and conferences, to remain current with the latest mental health trends and best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center focuses on serving a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal relationships. Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related discipline is required.
  • A current, active, and unrestricted California license as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience is required, ideally within a clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, contributing to integrated care delivery.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related technology is essential.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization or experience in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse treatment, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
  • Background working with diverse populations, particularly those with limited access to care or from marginalized communities.
  • Experience conducting virtual therapy sessions and familiarity with telehealth practices.
