Job SummaryOur 2nd shift Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently putting away finished goods and bulk materials into designated warehouse locations. This role supports daily distribution operations, ensures accurate order fulfillment, and maintains a clean and organized warehouse environment.Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Distribution Supervisor to understand and execute daily shift priorities
  • Safely put away finished goods and bulk materials into assigned warehouse locations
  • Rack inbound freight from outside vendors and in-house manufactured products
  • Assist in other warehouse functions as needed (order picking, cleaning, rework, etc.)
  • Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) and other warehouse equipment safely
  • Organize and stack materials onto skids in a safe and efficient manner
  • Wrap and secure finished goods to ensure orders can withstand transportation
  • Complete customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with finished goods inventory counts and audits
  • Perform routine aisle audits independently
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety policies and responsible equipment operation practices
  • Ask questions and seek guidance when unsure of processes or requirements
  • Successfully complete required DOT training
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Schedule & Work Expectations
  • Minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
  • 2nd shift hours are M-F, 3:00pm - 11:00pm
  • Flexibility required; overtime, weekends, and holidays may be needed based on distribution demands
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of shipping or warehouse experience requiredHazardous materials experience for air/ocean freight is preferred
  • Proven experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Comfortable using computers and warehouse systems
  • Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork

Compensation Information:

Pay rate is $20 - $25 an hour based on experience and job history.
