Job Title: Warehouse Worker / General Laborer (Night Shift)

Job Description

This role involves working on the warehouse floor performing general labor duties with a strong focus on heavy lifting, order handling, and accuracy. You will move and organize large totes, match identification numbers to their correct locations, and support loading, unloading, and pallet wrapping activities in a clean, modern facility that supports. Attention to detail and comfort with physical work are essential, as you will handle items weighing up to 60 lbs, with team assistance available for heavier loads.

Responsibilities

• Lift, move, and carry totes and other items weighing up to 60 lbs, using team assistance for items above 50 lbs.
• Match numbers on totes and materials accurately to their designated locations within the warehouse.
• Wrap pallets securely to prepare orders and materials for storage or shipment.
• Load and unload trucks and other delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform general labor tasks on the warehouse floor, including picking, packing, and material handling.
• Use RF scanners to pick orders and track inventory as required.
• Support shipping and receiving activities by organizing incoming and outgoing products.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking and placement.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required protective equipment.
• Collaborate with team members in a new project department that requires precise matching of tote numbers and consistent workflow.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the shift.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of recent experience performing heavy lifting up to 60 lbs in a general labor or similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to safely lift, carry, and handle items weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when matching numbers on totes and materials to their correct locations.
• Experience performing general warehouse labor such as picking, packing, and material handling.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for the duration of a night shift.
• Willingness to work 3rd shift, Sunday to Thursday from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM.
• Comfort working in a structured warehouse environment with established safety and operational procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
• 1+ years of experience operating a sit-down forklift combined with heavy lifting responsibilities.
• Familiarity with RF scanners for order picking and inventory management.
• Background in shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading trailers.
• Experience with order picking and packing in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small night-shift team.

Work Environment

The role is based in a medium-sized, modern warehouse. The building is new, very clean, and supports a mix of office staff, warehouse workers, and forklift operators. The warehouse operates with small, close-knit teams, with approximately 13 people on the night shift and 5 on the day shift. You work on the 3rd shift from Sunday to Thursday, 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM. You use standard warehouse equipment and RF scanners to perform picking, packing, and material handling tasks. The dress code is casual, but steel-toe footwear and a safety vest are required for safety. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety standards, creating a professional and orderly setting for warehouse operation.
