Position Summary

As an Armed Security Officer, you will serve as a visible and proactive presence, helping maintain a safe environment. This role combines security operations, emergency preparedness, relationship-building, and leadership.

Responsibilities include monitoring customer activities, managing visitor access, responding to incidents, and supporting law enforcement during emergencies.

** The shift is part-time (full days) from 10pm - 6am.**

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the safety and security of business property, staff, and visitors.
  • Monitor and investigate suspicious activity, persons, and vehicles.
  • Utilize visitor management systems, surveillance cameras, and security technologies.
  • Serve as a liaison between business managers, law enforcement agencies, and the community.
  • Assist with emergency response activities and crisis situations.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to incidents and security concerns.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation & drug test.
  • Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills.
  • Possess current Level III Security License.

**Training & Skills Assessment **

  • Candidates with a current Level III certification who pass the Texas DPS PSB Commissioned Security Officer Exam & Shooting Range Qualification with a score of 90% will be posted after demonstrating ability to perform a 50m sprint and do pushups and sit-ups in less than 4 minutes and maintain ability to function effectively after being pepper sprayed.
  • All other candidates will attend a 5-day unpaid training course to obtain the Level III certification
  • Tier One School-Based Security Response Training

Training and licensing fees provided at no cost to employees prior to assignment.
