Job Description

Lingo Staffing is hiring a Masker I! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, detailed work and is looking for a long-term opportunity with room to grow.

You don't need previous Masker experience to be considered. SCS provides hands-on training beginning on your first day and offers opportunities for additional pay increases as you advance through the Masker Certification Program.

Pay & Schedule

Starting Pay: $17.00/hour Certification Increase: +$0.50/hour upon completion of Masker Certification Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Overtime: Occasional OT may be available on a volunteer basis; not guaranteed Employment: Temp-to-Hire Permanent Conversion: Eligible after 520 hours under the staffing agreement

What Does a Masker Do?

Maskers prepare customer products before and after the parylene coating process. The work involves carefully applying and removing masking materials and inspecting products to ensure they meet quality standards.

You'll use small hand tools, microscopes, and other equipment while performing highly detailed work.

Other responsibilities may include:

  • Masking and demasking customer products
  • Performing detailed visual inspections
  • Cleaning and preparing surfaces
  • Working with small hand tools and microscopes
  • Inspecting and refurbishing coating fixtures
  • Packaging and preparing products for shipment
  • Recording measurements and production information
  • Following detailed work instructions and quality procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Following cleanroom, PPE, ESD, and safety procedures when required
Who Would Be a Good Fit?

We're looking for people who are patient, detail-oriented, focused, and comfortable working with their hands.

Experience with activities or jobs involving fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination can be helpful, such as:

  • Working with small parts

Previous Masker experience is not required. Training is provided.

Training & Advancement

Your training begins on Day 1.

The Masker Certification Program generally takes 3+ months, but there is no strict time limit. Everyone learns at a different pace, and employees can become certified as they demonstrate proficiency.

Once you complete the certification program, your pay increases by $0.50/hour.

There are also four Masker levels, providing additional opportunities to advance and earn further pay increases.

Work Environment

The dress code is casual. Jeans, T-shirts, hoodies, and tennis shoes are acceptable.

Open-toe shoes are not permitted.

The position may involve working in cleanroom environments, where employees will follow required PPE, hygiene, ESD, and safety procedures.

Long-Term Opportunity

This is a temp-to-hire position with the opportunity to become a permanent Specialty Coating Systems employee.

Eligible employees can convert after 520 hours, with no conversion penalty under the Lingo Staffing agreement.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; SCS may allow a Reading Comprehension assessment in lieu of a GED.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to sit and perform detailed work for extended periods.
  • Ability to distinguish required colors.
  • Ability to meet required near-vision standards with or without corrective lenses.
  • Must successfully complete required pre-employment and onboarding requirements.
