Job description

Introduction
The Department of Corrections is focused on public safety through the custody and supervision of those in our care. Corrections employees have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of others through careers in a variety of fields. Using evidence-based approaches, employees implement lasting change with a positive impact for the people of Wisconsin.
Position Summary
This position formulates and implements individual and group assessments, case plans, and treatment in the areas of Evidence Based Practices (EBP) for Substance Use Disorders (SUD). The TS2 will have oversight responsibilities for SUD groups at Oshkosh Correctional Institution (OSCI) to ensure program performance objectives are met, monitor performance measures, and audit instruments. OSCI has over 2,000 residents, living on over 10 different housing units, with each resident having varying levels of SUD treatment requirements. The TS2 will work closely to monitor these SUD program level requirements.
In conjunction with OSCI management, the specialist will design and develop a continuum of program delivery to serve the target population using the Department of Corrections (DOC) assigned criteria and tools to measure adequate, effective, and efficient program delivery. The specialist will coordinate with multiple disciplines in the institution to develop, implement, and monitor institution-wide after-care interventions to program completers to ensure that they continue to use the skills they have learned within the institution and to ensure continuation of care in their recovery process. The specialist will consult with institution management on the progress and outcomes of after-care intervention program. Finally, the TS2 will also provide treatment services to other social worker programs at OSCI to meet programming requirements.
The TS2 will conduct SUD assessments at various stages of program completion, both individually and as a team member, for all residents living in various housing units at OSCI.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 12-63 with a starting pay of $33.78/hour - $37.33/hour. The rate within this range relates to years of state seniority. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.
This position may receive a $1.50 to $2.00 per hour add-on pay based on the type of SAC credential possessed at the time of hire.

Job Details
This position is not eligible for remote work and will work on site.
Anticipated schedule will be Monday - Friday 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM.
This position is FLSA Exempt.
This position is not anticipated to travel on a regular basis, but most DOC positions occasionally travel for training, meetings, conferences, or similar events.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must possess a current AODA treatment certification from the state of Wisconsin in the form of a Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification or Authorized to Treat for Substance Use Disorder specialty certification and will be required to maintain certification during employment.
