Job description

 Quality Control Laboratory Assistant
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Assistant for our client a leading consumer product company in Lititz, PA. Schedule: On-site Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm
Length of assignment: one year likely to extend
Pay: $24.49-25.49 an hour Depending on experience
Must be able be able to provide to own lap top 
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
  • Support all QC laboratory operations with a strong focus on compliance, safety, and efficiency.
  • Process and inspect laboratory glassware to ensure availability and serviceability for testing processes.
  • Retrieve and deliver samples between manufacturing and QC laboratories.
  • Evaluate and dispose of laboratory waste, including the routine check of waste containers.
  • Conduct initial and annual inspections of retain samples.
  • Manage laboratory consumables, reagents, and standards using the KanBan system:
  • Receive, unpack, and appropriately store consumables and reagents.
  • File packing slips as required.
  • Perform regular expiration checks and disposal of expired laboratory materials.
  • Participate actively in 5S initiatives to sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain laboratory organization.
  • Operate within departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidance.
  • Dispose of completed raw material and finished goods samples as per procedures.
  • Assist lab administration with logging samples in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Qualifications & Skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working independently with moderate supervision.
  • Capable of repeated lifting (25-30 lbs) and walking moderate distances for sample retrieval and disposal.
  • Effective in time management and organization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable collaborating with on-site and off-site colleagues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Experience working within a GLP or GMP laboratory environment preferred.
