Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - On-site, Harrisburg, PA 17101 

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire (Permanent placement on company payroll with immediate full benefits; not a temporary job)

Location: Harrisburg, PA 17101 (Downtown Harrisburg area)

Schedule: Full-Time, Rotating Shifts (Includes day, evening, night, and weekend rotations based on unit needs)

New Hire Starting Base Pay: $19.00 – $21.40 per hour (Starting salary placement is determined by direct patient care background, CNA certification, and surgical unit experience.)

Future Earning Potential: Position salary range progresses up to $28.60 per hour over time through performance, tenure, and clinical career advancement.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Certified Nursing Assistant: Successful completion of nursing assistant training program.
  • Certification & Skills: Current/Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required. Strong understanding of body mechanics, safe transfer techniques, patient mobility, and direct patient care workflows.
  • Clinical Capabilities: Hands-on competency in taking vital signs, point-of-care testing (including blood glucose), weights, intake/output (I&O) tracking, telemetry monitor reapplication, urine specimen collection, and Foley care.
  • Interpersonal & Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively with RNs and care team members, follow clinical direction, handle patient safety indicators, and respond calmly to emergent situations.
How You'll Make an Impact

  • Direct Patient Care & ADLs: Assist post-surgical and orthopedic patients with daily living activities, including bathing, feeding, ambulation, turning/repositioning, and toileting under RN direction.
  • Clinical Monitoring & Core Responsibilities: Measure and record vital signs, weights, blood glucose levels, and I collect specimens; apply telemetry monitors; and report changes in patient status immediately to the RN.
  • Patient Safety & Supervision: Complete regular safety checks, apply/monitor restraint protocols per physician instructions, implement diversional activities, and provide one-on-one supervision or companionship as required.
  • Unit Operations & Stocking: Clean and organize patient rooms, maintain unit equipment, stock clinical supplies, change bed linens, answer call lights, and manage intra-hospital patient transportation 
  • Administrative & Care Documentation: Record patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record, process clerical requests, and handle supply charging/crediting.
