Job description

JOB TITLE: RF Engineer
LOCATION: Andover, MA
PAY RATE: $118.70/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (interim required to start).

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Support development and production of complex RF multi-function modules across the full product lifecycle.

  • Design and develop RF circuits, modules, and subsystems from concept through prototyping and full-rate production.

  • Solve complex technical problems with innovative and effective solutions.

  • Independently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve design and integration issues.

  • Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, circuit design, manufacturing, and technicians.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (interim required to start).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 8+ years of experience, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree.

  • Extensive experience in RF design at CCA, subsystem, or module level.

  • Experience with schematic capture, RF block diagram reviews, and CCA development.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for design and integration issues.

  • Experience with microwave test equipment (e.g., network analyzers, spectrum analyzers).

  • Proficiency with RF/microwave simulation tools (e.g., ADS, CST Microwave Studio, HFSS).

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Active Secret clearance.

  • Experience in the defense electronics industry.

  • Expertise in RF subsystems and hardware (antennas, transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation/conversion).

  • Experience with 3D electromagnetic simulation tools.

  • Knowledge of microelectronics assembly techniques.

  • Strong technical documentation skills (specifications, schematics, test data).

  • Experience leading technical projects.
