Job description

Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for Primary Care Physicians in Stockton, Modesto, Merced, and Indio, California. These are full-time permanent positions offering salary, benefits, and bonus opportunities.

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Primary Care Physicians to provide comprehensive primary care to medically complex and aging patients in a clinic-based setting. The physician will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care across home, clinic, and facility-based environments.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Primary Care Physician

  • Locations: Stockton, Modesto, Merced, and Indio, California

  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday; rotating night and weekend call

  • Employment Type: Permanent

  • Salary: $250,000–$280,000/year + bonus + equity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct medical care including assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing follow-up

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and update patient care plans

  • Coordinate care transitions and discharge planning with hospital and skilled nursing facility staff

  • Oversee medical care for patients in nursing homes and during hospital admissions

  • Supervise and support nurse practitioners and other clinical staff

  • Participate in 24-hour care planning and rotating call coverage

Requirements:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution and completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program

  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics (preferred)

  • Active, unrestricted California medical license

  • Active DEA and California CDS certification

  • Eligible for Medicare and Medi-Cal provider enrollment

  • Experience working with medically complex or elderly patient populations preferred
