Job description

DCS is searching for a performancedriven Senior Technical Writer to support US Army programs. A focus on either Analytical, Financial, logistics, engineering, technical writing and/or management of advanced networks for military vehicles and equipment. We're seeking individuals who are excited to take on meaningful challenges, contribute to innovative solutions, and help shape the future of a fastevolving mission space. This position will be supporting multiple locations.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

MA/MS/MBA from an accredited college or university in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, Creative Writing with 10 years of experience as a technical writer within the DOD environment.

2 additional years and a BA/BS or 5 additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.

Maintain records and files of work and revisions.

Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel.

Confer with customer representatives, vendors, or subject matter experts to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.

Review published materials and recommended revisions or changes in scope, format, and content.

Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.

Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail.

Assist in laying out material for publication.

Draw sketches to illustrate specified materials or assembly sequence.

Desired Skills:

Ability to obtain a secret clearance as needed.
