Salary: $17.25/Hour Minimum
Bargaining Unit (click here for contracts): AGCEP Contract
Report Times: 6:45am - 2:15pm
Daily Hours: 7.5 (7 Paid)
Work Year: 39 weeks
Supervisor: Principal
Civil Service Title: Office Clerk IV (Competitive)
Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.
This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). HELPS Program titles may be filled via a non-competitive appointment. This means that you do not need to take an exam to qualify, but you do need to meet the minimum qualifications of the title.
At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), employees hired under NY HELPS are expected to have their permanent non-competitive employment status converted to permanent competitive status. You will not have to take an exam to gain permanent competitive status.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong computer knowledge;
Strong interpersonal skills;
Strong clerical and organizational skills;
Must be flexible, responsible, and dependable;
Typing/word processing skills 35 wpm.
Position Summary/Responsibilities:
Assists with clerical duties in various offices;
Responsible for the operation of the staff copy room;
Assists with mailings;
Supports the unit office secretary;
Back-up to the attendance office;
Assists with daily arrival scanning system;
Student of the Month clerical duties;
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
