Job description

Job Description
About The Luxury Pergola
The Luxury Pergola designs and manufactures high-end, fully extruded aluminum pergola systems built for luxury residential and commercial spaces. With a growing dealer and installer network across North America, we're redefining outdoor living through precision engineering, craftsmanship, and a lifetime structural warranty - all built in the U.S.
We're looking for a Licensed Structural Engineer & Network Program Manager who will bridge engineering rigor with business growth. This is a dual purpose role - part engineering lead, part program strategist - supporting our dealer and certified installer ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Structural Engineering Support
  • Review and approve site-specific pergola designs, ensuring compliance with local codes, loads, and standards.
  • Provide stamped structural calculations and documentation for projects in multiple jurisdictions (PE license required).
  • Collaborate with our internal design and production teams to standardize structural analysis procedures and documentation.
  • Maintain and update span tables, load charts, and engineering design references for 6063-T6 aluminum systems.
Dealer Network Management
  • Serve as the technical and operational point of contact for dealer partners, providing structural guidance and business support.
  • Track dealer growth metrics, installation success rates, and regional coverage opportunities.
  • Develop reporting and analytics to assess network health, growth opportunities, and training efficacy.
  • Collaborate with leadership to shape dealer incentive programs, expansion strategies, and performance improvement initiatives.
Certified Installer Program
  • Oversee the Certified Installer Program - from training curriculum design to field implementation and certification standards.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person training sessions on installation best practices, structural safety, and compliance.
  • Manage certification renewals, quality audits, and continuous improvement feedback loops with installers.
  • Ensure all installer training materials align with structural engineering best practices and brand quality standards.

Requirements
Requirements
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License - must be active and in good standing in at least one U.S. state (multi-state licensure a plus).
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering.
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience (aluminum, light framing, or outdoor structures preferred).
  • Experience with dealer or channel management, or a demonstrated ability to manage multi-partner programs.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working across technical and business domains.
  • Proficiency with structural design software (e.g., RISA, STAAD, or equivalent) and spreadsheet-based span/load analysis.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills - ability to balance engineering review, partner support, and program development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the outdoor structures, architectural products, or building systems industries.
  • Understanding of extruded aluminum structural behavior and connection design.
  • Prior experience training installers, contractors, or technical sales teams.
  • Familiarity with dealer management software or CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).

Benefits
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and performance incentives.
  • Opportunities for professional development and license fee reimbursement.
  • Direct influence on a growing national brand redefining architectural outdoor living.
