Job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Windows Systems Engineer to support a mission-focused enterprise environment, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows-based infrastructure and enterprise cybersecurity platforms, including Trellix security solutions. The ideal candidate will support endpoint security operations, threat detection and response capabilities, and ensure system availability, performance, and compliance across complex enterprise environments.
What will you do?
• Administer and support Windows and Linux systems within enterprise environments
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Trellix security tools including ENS, ePO, EDR, TIE, and DXL
• Implement and support Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions, including network monitoring and prevention capabilities
• Support Active Directory architecture, administration, and troubleshooting
• Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats using enterprise security tools and frameworks
• Support planning and implementation of new system architectures and modernization of legacy infrastructure
• Conduct system tuning, configuration, and performance optimization for enterprise platforms
• Perform root cause analysis, log reviews, and troubleshooting of system and security issues
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security posture aligns with mission and operational requirements
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance metrics to ensure operational readiness
Do you have what it takes?
• Must have a Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
• Minimum of 16 years of experience in systems engineering, cybersecurity engineering, or Windows/Linux systems administration
• Strong experience with cybersecurity operations and engineering in enterprise environments
• Experience with Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS), ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Threat Intelligence Exchange (TIE), and Data Exchange Layer (DXL)
• Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools and network monitoring solutions
• Strong background in Active Directory administration and troubleshooting
• Experience with enterprise databases, virtualization, cloud services (AWS, Azure), and networked environments
• Ability to quickly develop expertise with Trellix and related cybersecurity platforms
• Familiarity with cyber threat identification, mitigation, and incident response strategies
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale system architectures
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience writing technical documentation, briefings, and operational reports
• Experience leading or participating in technical exchange meetings and stakeholder engagements
• Experience working with inter-agency, intra-agency, and external partners and vendors
• Experience supporting Certification & Accreditation (C&A) or Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) processes
• Experience supporting deployment planning, execution, system configuration, and policy development
• Experience monitoring system health, availability, and performance in enterprise environments
• Experience analyzing operational data and providing technical recommendations
• Experience leading or supporting technical troubleshooting efforts, including log analysis and vendor coordination
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
