Job Summary:
Hankook Tire & Technology is a global leader in high-performance tire manufacturing, and they are seeking a Systems & Server Administrator to support their Windows and Linux infrastructure. The role involves maintaining system reliability, performance, and security across physical and virtual environments.
Responsibilities:
• Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows Server and Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) environments
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain services
• Configure and maintain file servers, print services, and shared resources
• Perform patching, upgrades, and system hardening across all server environments
• Monitor system health, performance, and uptime using appropriate tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve OS-level, hardware, and performance issues
• Maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
• Administer and support VMware vSphere and ESXi environments
• Provision, configure, and manage virtual machines and storage resources
• Monitor and optimize resource utilization and system performance
• Ensure high availability and system redundancy where applicable
• Manage user access, permissions, and system security
• Configure and maintain NFS, Samba, and Linux-based services
• Perform system updates, patching, and performance tuning
• Troubleshoot Linux-based application and system issues
• Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Automate routine system administration and maintenance tasks
• Support data workflows and system integration through scripting
• Assist with network infrastructure (Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, DNS/DHCP)
• Support VoIP systems to ensure uptime and performance
• Collaborate on network troubleshooting when systems are impacted
• Administer and support license servers and engineering applications
• Troubleshoot system-level issues impacting tools such as Abaqus, Nastran, Altair, and Siemens
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure system performance meets operational needs
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of experience in systems/server administration
• Strong hands-on experience with: Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy)
• Linux administration (RHEL preferred)
• VMware vSphere / ESXi
• Experience with system monitoring, patching, and performance tuning
• Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals
• Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
Preferred:
• Certifications: RHCSA/RHCE, VMware VCP, or Microsoft certifications
• Experience in engineering or lab environments
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Exposure to cybersecurity best practices and system hardening
• Experience supporting high-performance or compute-intensive environments
