Job description

Position Overview
A manufacturing organization is seeking a Test Engineer to support product development, production, and repair activities. This role focuses on testing at the component level and requires strong troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Technical
Perform production and repair test activities for assigned products
Design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods for testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment
Prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures, and develop procedures for new products
Author or edit technical documentation following change management processes
Collaborate with operations personnel to establish test plans and support work cell completion rates
Support the transition of test solutions between facilities during product acquisitions
Communicate program status, capital requests, and improvement initiatives to management

Reporting & Communication
Proactively report operational and technical risks and opportunities within the business unit
Provide regular performance updates to the Engineering Manager
Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Culture & Teamwork
Support operational goals by providing technical guidance that drives productivity
Adapt to changing priorities and handle ambiguity while maintaining focus on long-term initiatives

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, or related technical field
8+ years of direct industry experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with software programming or diagnostic tools for troubleshooting
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, evolving environment
