About the Role:

We are seeking dependable, safety-focused drivers to transport railroad crew members safely and on time. Our drivers play a critical role in keeping rail operations running efficiently by providing reliable transportation to and from trains, rail yards, and lodging facilities.

This position requires punctuality, flexibility, and strict adherence to safety standards and traffic laws. If you take pride in being reliable and professional, this role offers independence with meaningful responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with federal, state, and local traffic laws
  • Transport railroad crews to designated destinations on time
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Report mechanical issues or vehicle concerns to the Branch Manager
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company and customer information
  • Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid state-issued driver’s license
  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable driving experience
  • Clean driving record meeting insurance requirements
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Ability to pass a 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review
  • Ability to complete and pass a driving performance test
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to operate GPS and electronic timekeeping systems
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift or pull up to 15 pounds
  • Ability to enter and exit vehicle repeatedly
  • Ability to bend and inspect vehicle tires and undercarriage
  • Ability to manually open and close vehicle doors and rear hatches

Compliance & Ongoing Requirements:

  • Drivers must meet and maintain all requirements set by the company, railroad customers, and insurance providers.
  • Employees are responsible for reporting any moving violations immediately to their supervisor.
  • Employment is contingent upon maintaining qualification standards at all times.
