Job description

Lord Abbett is seeking a Performance Analyst to join the Product Data & Information team within Client Services. This team delivers investment performance insights and product data to portfolio management, executive leadership, clients, prospects, and external data providers. Key objectives include ensuring data accuracy, resolving issues efficiently, improving transparency and governance, enhancing reporting processes, and expanding firm-wide access to performance and product information.


  • Investigate and resolve performance, benchmark, holdings, and product data discrepancies through root-cause analysis and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Produce and distribute investment performance, portfolio analytics, and product reporting for portfolio managers, clients, prospects, and consultant databases.
  • Maintain and govern product and performance data across third-party platforms, vendors, and external data providers.
  • Respond to ad hoc performance, product data, and client inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Support daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting processes and quality assurance reviews.
  • Conduct portfolio, market, and performance research to support client communications and marketing initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and automate recurring deliverables using data and reporting tools.
  • Monitor data quality, controls, and governance standards to ensure the accuracy and consistency of client and marketing data.

  • 3–7 years of experience in investment performance measurement, performance reporting, product data management, portfolio analytics, investment operations, or a related function.
  • Strong understanding of investment performance methodologies, including time-weighted returns, money-weighted returns (IRR), attribution concepts, and risk statistics.
  • Knowledge of equity, fixed income, multi-asset, and/or alternative investment products.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and control mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, VBA, or similar data analysis and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with industry platforms such as Morningstar Direct, eVestment, StatPro, LSEG/Lipper, PSN, APX, Omni, or related systems.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and process automation best practices.
  • Experience with GIPS standards and/or progress toward a CIPM, CFA, FRM, or CAIA designation.
  • Exposure to alternative investment performance metrics, including MOIC and IRR.

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $120,000-$140,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
