    Position Purpose
    The Performance Improvement Specialist implements and maintains a compliant, comprehensive, organization-wide, Safety, Quality and Performance Improvement Program.
    What you will do
    • Perform audits and gap analysis in response to patient and family concerns, department specific events or trends, and other authorized parties
    • Communicate serious adverse events occur and follow through on submission of required documentation
    • Analyze monthly data, create, and drive performance improvement activities, and help implement change
    • Assist in training safety curriculum for all staff
    • Conduct root cause investigations in surgery
    • Perform chart reviews and audits to support investigations

    Minimum Qualifications
    • CT RN license required
    • Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, or related field preferred
    • At least five (5) years hospital experience preferred
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, patient quality of care and safety initiatives; RCA or Lean Management skills preferred
    • Leadership experience with regulatory requirements for reporting and subsequent response criteria
